What is spiritual direction?

Spiritual direction is a form of accompaniment focused on deepening the spiritual dimension of your life. In these sessions, which typically meet once a month, we explore what is arising in your life as a customized curriculum for greater connection and understanding.

Through reflective questions, mutual listening, and intentional conversation, we reveal the hidden opportunities to live and love from a place more aligned with your essential being.

Unlike some forms of spiritual direction rooted in a particular religious tradition, ours is non-denominational, interreligious, and open to anyone interested in exploring the existential or sacred dimensions of themselves and this life. This includes people who identify as spiritual-but-not-religious and people who don’t identify as being spiritual at all.

When I began working with Divinity, I was navigating a health crisis, living in constant fear and anxiety, and feeling deeply disconnected from myself...

Through our work together, I began releasing limiting beliefs, reconnecting with my inner wisdom, and remembering my own divinity. She helped me learn to live from that knowing rather than from fear.

What began as a journey of healing became a beautiful journey of remembering who I truly am. Today, I feel more empowered, grounded, and trusting of myself and the divine within me.

If you’ve lost touch with your own light, I can’t recommend this experience enough. I’m deeply grateful for her guidance - it truly helped me change my life into one I actually want to show up for. ~ Amy

Hi, I'm Divinity.

I’m a spiritual teacher and transformational coach who’s supported people's emotional and spiritual well-being for nearly two decades. My spiritual path was forged in the refiner’s fire of 12 Step recovery, where, on the other side of food and drug addiction, a lifelong interest in esoteric spirituality turned into a deep inner yearning for the Divine.

Soon after this mystical inner awakening, my career as a Pilates practitioner and movement educator deepened toward this purpose—from supporting people in getting out of physical pain to supporting people in getting out of emotional and spiritual pain. Within a year, I’d closed my Pilates studio and established the Freedom Embodied Academy, an online community and program for women wanting freedom from food addiction.

In recent years, that support has expanded to helping people rediscover their inner light, navigate life transitions, and cultivate new meaning and identity on the other side of surgery, divorce, and change.

Emotional and spiritual pain manifests in many forms: as unhealthy patterns that have governed our lives for years; resentment, guilt, and unresolved relationship pain; questions of purpose, work, and consequential life decisions; and a need for a healthier sense of worthiness and belonging.

This is what I love to help people with: meeting what’s arising in your life, discovering a new way of understanding yourself in relation to it and, from that expanded perspective, gaining access to new tools, agency and insight into how to address it.

When I met Divinity, I was considering leaving an unhappy marriage, and I was feeling overwhelmed, scared and lost...

I didn't know who I was anymore and felt like I had erased myself to almost non-existence. I didn't know what to do.

I was referred to Divinity, and through her guidance, I gained clarity on my sense of self and my relationship, clarity on what I needed going forward, the strength she helped me uncover, and the courage and strategies to separate and start my life all over again. She helped me take those first steps, and I am forever grateful. ~ Rachel

How to Work with Me:

We begin by connecting on a call, where I learn more about where things are for you and which questions, transitions, or challenges feel most important to address right now.

We’ll go deeper into how your current situation is impacting you, and what you would like to orient toward instead.

From this place of greater clarity and discernment, I’ll know if I can help you, and we'll both sense whether it feels like a fit to do more work together.

To gain this clarity and discernment, schedule an exploration call below.

Before working with Divinity, I was constantly striving to achieve and become who I thought I was supposed to be...

I found satisfaction in being needed, and this drove every decision I made. So much of what I was pursuing wasn’t truly fulfilling.

During our time together, Divinity helped me look beneath those expectations, recognize what I truly wanted, and make major decisions from a deep, honest place within myself.

She supported me through the biggest transformation of my life, helping me find alignment in my work and let go of feeling responsible for everyone else’s happiness. ~ Jill
